Event Details

 Bow Street Runner Launch Party

26 February, 6.30-8pm followed by drinks reception

 Channel 4, 124 Horseferry Road, London SW1P 2TX

Channel 4 is the first broadcaster to refocus its commissioning budget for education away from linear TV to cross platform projects. This is a bold move in which TV is just one of many platforms for the Channel’s new education content for teenagers…

One of Channel 4’s first new commissions for 2008 is the ‘Bow Street Runner’, an online game aiming to engage young people with history. ‘Bow Street Runner’ will take the historical themes of the TV programmes and create a compelling game world, in which the user dives into the murky underworld of Georgian London to solve a variety of mysterious crimes.

Channel 4 is inviting you to the launch party on 26 February, where we will show you the ‘Bow Street Runner’ launch programme and you will have a chance to play the game and share your views. You can also hear about Channel 4’s new projects and join us for a drink and nibbles in the evening.

We do hope you can join us. Please feel free to forward this invitation to colleagues with an interest in this area; we would also love to have teens and tweens engaged in this project so please forward to your contacts. You must register individually for this event for security purposes.
